Tiffany Bunn
Teacher – 1st Grade
Hello families!
My name is Tiffany Bunn and I will be your child’s first grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. First grade is an exciting year — while students will continue to develop a strong foundation to continue to support their reading and math skills, they will also have lots of fun!
Here’s a little about myself: I have been in the field of education since 2014. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development in 2014. After working as a preschool teacher, I decided to return to school to earn a Master’s Degree in Early Child Curriculum and Instruction (2018). In 2020, I decided to continue my education and pursue a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (2023). This will be my first year at TVCS. Prior to my journey here, I was a long term substitute teacher in 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, and crafting.

Jessica Messersmith
Teacher – 6th Grade
Hello and welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I’m thrilled to return to Temecula Valley Charter for my third year teaching 6th grade math and science. Additionally, I’ve had the honor of coaching the football, baseball, and softball teams here at TVCS.
A bit about me: I hail from San Diego and pursued my college education at the University of California, Riverside, where I earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in History/Law and Society. During my time at UCR, I balanced academics with being a student-athlete on the softball field. Following that, I continued my education in San Diego at Point Loma Nazarene University, where I obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Education Specialist Instruction Credential.
Before joining TVCS, I coached softball at various levels, spanning from high school to junior college to NAIA. Over the past 15 years, I’ve co-run winter and summer softball camps for girls aged 8-17 with a close friend. I embrace the title Coach due to my background and the significant role of mentorship inherent in coaching, it is near and dear to my heart.
I’m happily married with two wonderful children: Carie, who is 7 years old and currently in 2nd grade here at TVCS, and Colton, who is 2 years old. My family and I love staying active and spending time together at the ball field. Personally, I aim to attend games at all MLB stadiums as a personal goal.

Jorge rojas
Teacher – 7/8th Grade Math
Hello TCVS Families!
My name is Jorge Rojas, and I am thrilled to be a part of this community. With eight years of teaching experience, I am deeply passionate about history and coaching sports. Additionally, I have two years of experience teaching computer science.
In my first year of teaching, I instructed 6th-grade math (CPM) and history for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. During my second year, I specialized in computer science and was actively involved in IT & ICT. I had the privilege of coaching a team that secured first place in the Middle School Cybersecurity competition for the Far North Region in 2019.
I am actively engaged with the community, participating in events and programs that support children’s education. I have served as a judge in the annual ACADECA event, providing students with feedback on public speaking and argument construction. I have also been involved in the yearly National History Day, where I evaluate projects and witness students exploring historical topics of their interest. Additionally, I regularly participate in cybersecurity competitions with the teams I coach, including CyberPatriot, the Cyber Innovation Challenge in San Luis Obispo, and the California Mayors Cup.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing classical guitar, graphic design, and hiking.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I eagerly anticipate the upcoming school year!

Teacher – Kindergarten
Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten! Instead of waiting until Back to School Night, I thought sending home some information about the “goings on” in Kindergarten would be helpful. It is a WHOLE NEW WORLD for all of us! I am hoping that this alleviates some questions and relieves some anxiety.
Be sure to bring your camera!
Lots of fun photos will be taken.
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS ON WEDNESDAY 8/14
Drop Off: Gates open at 7:45. Class begins promptly at 8:10. Please bring them early so they can get their wiggles out and take pictures before we start our day.
Pick up: We will be dismissing students at 1:00. If your child uses a booster or car seat please put it behind the passenger seat so students can easily get in the car and teachers can assist with buckling them in if needed. This is for safety reasons and will help the car line move faster. Please do not exit the car.
First Day and Beyond Suggestions and Information:
Please send your child with …
1. A backpack, snack, lunch with an ice pack, and a water bottle. Please ensure they can independently open snacks and lunch items. Keep in mind that they have a 15 minute snack and 40 minute lunch. Their snack should be separated from their lunch in a labeled bag or written on the snack itself with their name. This will help prevent them from eating their snack at lunch.
2. Please remind them at drop off how Make sure they know to raise their hand for lunch and breakfast orders if they will be getting school food that day.
3. First-day supplies and donations
4. A change of clothes that I will keep in class in case of an emergency.
5. A family picture. It will go on our family wall that students will have access to if they are missing their family.
Lastly, label all belongings so your child’s personal items can be easily located.
Please feel free to email me at mross@tvcscougars.com if you have any questions. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child at our meet and greet. See you at Back to School Night on 8/22 for more information about classroom procedures and routines.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ross

Jeannette Wilkinson
Teacher – 7/8th Grade ELA
Welcome to 7th/8th Grade Language Arts!
My name is Jeannette Wilkinson, and this will be my 4th year here at TVCS, but I have been teaching for 15 years. I am excited for the next part of this journey and look forward to seeing many of the students I have already had.
I love to read and have many various hobbies, including crochet.
Our year together will be filled with rigorous, engaging, and rich content-based material. I am confident that each student will grow to their own potential. Communication, commitment, and effort will be essential as we work through important concepts and skills. Students will be encouraged and supported in setting goals this year while keeping a growth mindset.
7th and 8th grade ELA consists of a variety of components. Each week, we will focus on a different Comprehension Strategy and Vocabulary Strategy in a variety of Genres. Our units of discussion will stem from Big Ideas and Essential Questions introduced at the beginning of each unit. In addition, we will apply these skills and address standards through novel studies. Students will practice deeper thinking skills through reading and writing all year long.
Again I look forward to working with each and every student this next school year.

I came to TVCS when we enrolled our first of 3 daughters into 7th grade. I was searching for a school with an outstanding academic program supported with field trips at a time when funding was being cut statewide. I immediately found that the small size campus and welcoming environment for family volunteer participation fit all of my hopes. I enrolled my other two daughters the very next year and have been grateful for it ever since – each of them were well prepared academically and socially here at their TVCS launch pad to their high school years and on to college. I credit this to the excellent, caring, supportive and professional teachers and the supportive and responsive staff. I am happy to say that my wonderful parent volunteer years later turned into an offer for a Clerical Substitute/Office Assistant position which I have loved and appreciated for a long time now. ❤️💛🖤
